Arrow 2011/12 winter projects thread...

Tell me about your winter projects people. The only thing I am doing is running my brake line internally on my bars so that I have no wiring, cables or lines external anymore. I recently did an internal throttle and got rid of my switch housings. Here is how they look now. Since I have eliminated the switch housings I am going to have to run a brake switch for the front brake on teh otehr side of the t. It will all go inside of my fork tins on my fatboy.

I am using a PM Master cylinder that is the same outer diameter as the spacers I had a buddy make to replcae the switch housings. I still have full functionality of everything without my housings with a cool item I found.

Here is my master cylinder,

Here are how the bars look now.

If I didn't see that big tank I'd swear it would say "Schwinn" on the down tube. Looks great Drew! Very clean and uncluttered.
I'm in the middle of a stereo overhaul. Upgrading the head unit to a Sony 310 BTX, Polk MM651 speakers and a RF PBR300 amp. Only using 2 channels for now as I'm undecided If I will add some separate tweeters to the fairing or go with speaker lids on the bags. Having a detachable fairing presents wiring problems in keeping it detachable.

Once the brake line is run internally with the new master cylinder it will be super clean. thanks for the compliments. I appreciate it. This is one of those projects I said I would never do but it really cleans things up for us softail guys who avhe external throttle and idle lines.

I'm lovin the look Drew. I'm inspired to do this myself. I've been lookin online and decided on the following. Any and all thoughts, opinons, advice are welcome appreciated. thanks

BR's 14" 1.25" sweeping beaters

either Exile or Sreamline Designs internal throttle

Goodridge Sniper or DS microbraid brake line

Heartland signal mirrors

I still don't know about what throttle cable or length, and what grips will work with the internal throttle.I will be keeping the stock switches and controls for now but have teh PM Contour controls in mind for the future. I will also be staying with a cable clutch cause I ride with 2 fingers on the lever and have read for a hydraulic clutch I would need 3 or 4 so it can fully disengage.

Bought a used bike this Summer that is bone stock. On the list for this Winter is a high flow intake, new handlebars, fork spring upgrade, and maybe a new seat(?). I have some air shocks on the way, but those might go on before any snow falls here.

Looking at either the 120r or a stock, used or rebuild, using supercharger, not sure. This will go on a 2006 RG that needs a motor. Looks like the motor has 68k but the oil looks almost as old no wonder it hardly ran...../ Will a stock 5 speed handle the motor power of either of the above choices?
Anyone running a supercharger? Which brand and what do u think? Any cooler involved?
