OK, I'll be serious. I have not tried overalls but I imagine they would be warmer. However, I do use chaps when it is cold and they work well. They also roll up somewhat small for carrying on the bike when not wearing them. They are also easy and quick to put on or take off. Chaps have served me well and nobody has ever given me any chit about wearing them. At least not to my face.
I'm wearing chaps like the ones in the prior video. I have ridden to work in weather below 26 degrees before sun up with the chaps over a pair of jeans. My *** doesn't get cold. My legs stay plenty warm. Chaps allow for body movement that I think coveralls would restrict.
I wear usa made hd ***** g chaps for basic cold and quick
but when it is cold and wet and far I wear my DC (the skateboard shoe guys) denim snowboard pants.
I can pull them on over my boots because of zippers in the bell bottoms they have removable spats, every pocket zips shut, elastic bindings inside the bell bottoms to keep air out, glove friendly, water proof, adjustable ventilation, basically they just look like denim bell bottoms.
got them new in a parking lot sale REI $40
if I lived on the right or top side of the country I would have two pairs.
