NEW HDFS Payment Rules.....
I can't believe this thread is still rolling...
JonV, Yes I read that also, that is why I even bothered to call them......
As I have found out in the past even corporate (any corporation) emails can and do have typographical errors from time to time.
Of course the conversation on the phone was one of semi-humor as I told the customer service representative that I was slightly perplexed and dumb founded over a recent email I had received, and could she please explain to me why I had received the email in the 1st place since I do not use their website.
I am one who does not allow anybody to debt my account automatically, and that I always pay my bills via my bank (electronically) on the 3rd of every month. I also tell anybody I do business with that that is my way of conducting business and if they would like to do business with me, we have to be of one accord on this matter, or any and all transactions are null and void.
It keeps transactions plain, simple and to the point, as I also am on a fixed income, a nice one but it is still fixed. It is my money and I'll spend it the way I see fit, not corporate America.

If you don't pay the balance in full, they still own the bike so they don't care.
I have never understood any bank asking you to accept paperless statements, well yes I will if you give me a discount for the money your saving.
I plan on being paid off in 6 months, so until I trust the above answers, I'll keep making a overpayments and bank pay an overpayment each month to insure it goes through, If they refuse electronic pays, I'll mail 2 or 4 checks a month.
I thought it always was a $6. charge for one time pays(since nov. anyway), so the email makes no sense to me other than they want to refuse your bank pays.
It is hard for me to believe how many of you have so much money to through away and tell others pay cash or you don't deserve it. you brag on paying cash or doing without, you put down others for shopping around for deals, not wanting to pay top dollar and msrp with no questions.
