I have the handlebar mounts on my Road King. Thought they would provide better security instead of walking away with the windshield. I have mine wired to my Zumo 550. GPS directions, XM, MP3 all coming at me from the Boom speakers. I have no complaints on their performance on the road with the windshield in place.

Default Boom Audio Upgrade

Did the speaker and Amp upgrade. Makes all the difference in sound quality at speed. I enjoy the sound system again while traveling.

Got the Boom Audio and amp installed in my Street Glide a few weeks ago. I couldn't be happier. In my opinion it sounds fantastic. Very happy.

I bought my 2011 RKC with the Windshield speaker setup. I have to say it sounds awesome. My only issue is when I plug the iPod into power and try to play it, I get terrible static through the speakers. So I ensure it is charged before use. Not sure if this is a grounding issue or if it just isn't designed for power from the same source. I would ask before purchasing to be safe. Mine was already installed by the stealership.

Well, after using the handlebar boom system for a few months now I'd rate them good up to 50mph, Ok, 50-60 & sucky over 60. Also the speakers blew a couple of weeks ago & my dealer replaced them a no charge. YMMV

These may be the holy grail http://www.uniqcycle.com/premier-mot...-speakers.html
