The commute to and from work has been much more enjoyable with the reduced wind noise. Of course now I'm hearing bike noises I never did and keep looking for something that's wrong.
Had a set custom made years ago. Love them. Riding across Wyoming, even with the foam plugs, I would go damn near deaf. Best money spent. In fact the wife has a set also, and a couple times in Sturgis we camped next to guys who snored like earthquakes. Put in the earplugs and slept all night just fine.
I'm leaning towards the Alpines and had another question. Do those sit all the way inside the ear so that nothing is sticks out from a frontal view? I know its a bad habit, but I usually ride without a helmet and when pieces of the plugs are visible from the front, you get buffeting on them from the wind and is almost as bad as having no ear plugs.
I can't stress enough how well these work. These are the same ear plugs that a Doctor will charge you $300 to custom mold.
Just a hint - at shooting matches they custom mold the same earplugs to your ear and do a professional job of it for $25-30. I've been using a set I picked up at a match for about 5 years now.
