Maxflow/exhaust questions
Switching from Big Radius 2-1 to Bassani Pro-Street 2-2. I will have it dyno'd and retuned, but may need to ride the bike a few hours to tuner. Would you expect bike to run leaner or richer with this change?
Also, I has SE k&n air filter on bike and just bought the bigger Maxflow filter from Hillside. This filter is 5/8" thicker for additional airflow. I installed yesterday and only got a short ride to work and back, but bike ran a little rougher and throttle felt a little sluggish. I did not expect much gain from the filter alone, but would have expected it to lean engine out a little and throttle response would be pretty crisp. Anybody switch from stage 1 filter to one of these experience significant in ride? Does filter change alone require remap? I would not have thought it would, but if I was not already planning to remap due to exhaust change, I would probably put old k&n filter back on.
