I attended an open house at Hampton Roads HD this past saturday and was browsing the floor lookin at new bikes and motorclothes, didnt buy a thing but was just looking. A short older gentleman dressed in 1950's stlyle biker outfit walked up to me an asked matter of factly if I had been to Daytona this year as I was wearing a Bruce Rossmeyer HD shirt. I told him I bought the shirt there last year, he then asked me where I had stayed, I told him I stayed at Shades of Green in Orlando, he sighed and walked off, later I heard him tell another guy that I was just a t-shirt buyer! So freakin what! I bought the shirt last year on vacation with me and the wife to Orlando, I happen to collect Harley dealer shirts from everywhere I go, cause I like em, and hell no I aint riding my sporty from Virginia to Daytona, I am too old for that my back and hands wont take it, if I had a touring bike I probobly would. Anyhow my 08, 883 just turned 21,000 miles I bought it new in 08 so yes I do ride. Why do people have to be so judemental I just like to ride.
I have a t shirt from Sturgis even though I've never been. (going this year though!) My uncle brought it back for me. The only exception is I only collect pins from rallies I have been to.

Me too. Here's mine (the back of it):
I bought it here in Japan at a second-hand store. I liked it cuz it didn't have "H-D" anywhere on it, which was refreshing (it's a Hooters shirt, as you can see), and it isn't all flamboyant like a lot of the Sturgis shirts out there.
OP~
Pay the Marlon Brando wannabe no mind. Just roll your eyes and move on...
I got a T that says "Kankakee County" & I've never been there, nor would I want to go. Guess that makes me an "Illinois" poser!
Seriously--I never gave a rodent's rectum what anyone I didn't care about thought of me. Fact is, I don't much care what most of the people I CARE about think of me!!
Next time you see the "real biker", ask him if he heard about the miner who made a fortune. When he says no, tell him: "He was mining his own business."
