Default 1999 FXR2 Blue Paint - Who Has One?

Way back in 1999 I bought one of the limited editions of the 600 red 1999 FXR2 bikes. Supposedly there were a total of 900 produced with 300 of them painted blue. While I have encountered a few of the red ones like mine on the highways, I have never seen or even heard from anyone who bought one of the blue ones. Somewhere I read the blues ones were all exported but dont know if thats true or not.

I really had no idea what I was buying back then, I just liked the looks of the FXR2 and the "packaged" customization done then by the fledgling CVO operations. Little did I know I was buying one of the very first CVO bikes.
Still have it today and ride it from time to time, rather opting now for the StreetGlide.

If ya got a blue one post up a photo if you can......

Seen 'em in orange or yellow, but never blue or red. How about some pics?

Are you referring to the FXRC, which came in blue with a blue painted frame?

Dickey,

the 1999 FXR2 was 600 red and 300 blue while the same year 1999 FXR3 were all 900 in a black flames over a green tank or blue tank.....in 2000 it was the FXR4 in yellow, dont know how many were built......all these bikes share the same FXR frame (which sadly was discontinued in favor of the Dyna frame)

If there was a blue one produced I would expect you could locate a pic on the internet, and there are some sites dedicated to both the FXRs and the first CVOs. Have seen , red, green with flames, and the yellow, but can't recall a Blue, although my memory is not what is used to be. LOL.

I think the final numbers for 2000 are 316 orange and 664 yellow.

The blue/black/blue frame FXRC was a 1987. I think there was 750 made.

Yes, that is correct for the 2000 FXR4. Here are the other production numbers. 1999 FXR2 in Arresting Red: 625, in Stone Cold Blue: 276. For the 1999 FXR3, 300 were made in Blue Candy w/Flames and 620 were Green Candy w/Flames.

Hope this helps. I am the proud owner of a 1999 Blue FXR3, which is one of the best handling bikes in my opinion.

First off, I don't own one but I do have a poster of these in my shed with my 98fxdwg. It has both bikes on it, the FXR2 & the FXR3. It says there were 900 of each made, one red & one looks to be black with green flames on the tank. I'll try to take some pic's and get them up later.

Ok, here are some pic's of the poster. They are not great with the glare but it's the best I could do.

LOL! I have that poster and own one of the red FXR2, but as others have stated there were also blue ones in both the FXR2 and FXR3 but I have never seen one in all these years. Great machines regardless of color. I have never seen this particular red repeated on any other model since the FXR2. It is called Victory Red. This bike is my Keeper.
