I am prepping to do my 5k service (first one I'll do on my own) this weekend and wanted to know where others buy the o-rings that get replaced; specifically the primary cover, and drain plugs for the 3 fluid holes. Do you just get them at the dealer? The o-rings for the drain plugs look pretty generic; can they be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes if you know the size?
Also, anyone know where I can buy some Dri-Slide or PJ1 at a local retailer; I've only seen it online thus fair?

Not the dri-slide but other stuff I would recommend the dealer. That way u know 100% it is the right stuff and they are not that expensive.

You can get a pack at the dealer that has 4 o-rings and the derby cover gasket for like $5. Yes, its more than you can probably get them somewhere else but for $5, I get the ones where I know they work and are the correct ones.
Buy from dealer when in a pinch. Otherwise, get them a bunch at a time online (Lake Shore HD, Chicago HD, etc.). Haven't bought them in a while so not sure if those are still viable. Some get them from places like Home Depot, but I can never tell if they match-up size wise so I don't trust myself guessing.
ACE hardware, Lowes, Home Depot all have the O rings, I believe they are 5/8". As for the derby cover seal, in the last 160,000 miles worth of oil changes, I have never changed one and have never had a leak. FWIW, in all those miles I think I have only replaced three O rings on the drain plugs.
You are always charged for these items at the dealershiop, but I guarandamtee ya that they are not automatically replaced.
Just an FYI, I stopped by my local HD and picked up the o-ring pack for my 2010 FXDC. $4.95 for the three drain plugs and derby cover. I only plan on replacing if necessary and will use the ones I bought to match up at my local hardware store.
all o-rings are not equal. now i'm not saying that you have to buy the one from the dealer, but make sure that the one(s) you buy are chemical/petroleum resistant. viton by dupont is one.
