Order extra keys. I work for a car dealer and cant believe how many people lose the one key they have. Only ONE key? Then they get pissed off when you have to have proof of ownership.

We use a local locksmith for work. Some equipment keys we use are the barrel type and once I found out he cuts those too, I took my bike key and the FILs key and had 2 extra cut for each of us. $26 for 4 keys.

thanks for all the info guys, I was always gonna get an extra key but that never happened. Im gotta go to Mile 1 Harley to pick up my bike today and lll oder some keys while there. Ill let yas know the cost.

order a trunk lock for your bike keyed to match. It is like $20 and comes with two keys. They can get them for all models. If you order the keys alone, it costs a lot more money.
All you need is the vin#, they might ask to see a title or registration to prove you own the bike..
