I read it. I said, are you breaking the flag code, or in violation of the flag code. Nowhere in that sentence do I say, "Are you breaking the law."
"In other words, when you wear a flag T-shirt or hat while reclining on an American flag beach towel near your American flag camping chair, you are violating the Flag Code. The code, which was drawn up at the first National Flag Conference in Washington in 1923, is part of the law of the land."
This part of the flag code has nothing to do with religion. Nice Try though. Also, it's still illegal to sell alcohol in some states on Sunday. So, time isn't marching very fast, but that is a total different topic.
U mean some states sell booze on Sunday.???
U'all aint gettin any of it hereins Indiana on Sundays..
Like the saying, your face looks like ***, or your breath smells like ****. I get it. Thanks. I am not being personal here. Just giving some analogies that are commonly used.
Look. I didn't imply anything. I didn't write the article. If it is against the flag code, then it is. People do not enforce the flag code. Hell. I had a guy doing my yard pull my flag down, and lay it on the ground. He was 35 years old.
This is all food for thought, but it is funny to me how the snippet has sparked a grammar discussion. If you want to dishonor the flag code. That is your choice, but don't be bitching or hypocritical when someone else burns the flag.
I for one do not burn flags BTW. Although I did burn the flag that was put on the ground.

Well this ranks right up there with "3PP's & what oil to use" posts.
Btw if you want, feel free to drop by the base and help me get my gear squared away...
Flipping through the channels I came across a sitcom with an actor wearing an Army uniform with a reverse side flag patch on the left shoulder...I cringed.

So now I'm a flag dishonerer because I corrected your word usage? I don't think one is analogous with the other.
Yes....I'm just messing with you.
