A year ago today...
$22,200 OTD,
Over the winter I bought the TP detach kit, did my own harness using the Deutch connectors and several acc in the "nostalic" theme, Floorboards, shifter pads, rear brake pedal and a few other goodies like the smoked lenses and light trim rings. I also did the Joe Florida 207LED kit
I recently started piecing together an audio system using the Pioneer AVH6300BT DVD flip out as a headunit and will put the JL Audio M400/4 amp in the fairing and JL Audio C5 650's in the lowers and fairing and keeping it all contrlled with the HW kit so my handlebar controls still work. Reading Glacierpearls thread as well as BigGElvis and their installs got me motivated in that way.
There came a few times I wanted to sell it as I have an injury (spinal fusion with 4 screws, 2 rods, a disc removed and vertebrae cut in half) that sometimes makes a day of riding super painful but my wife refused to allow that. I figured there would be better things done with $20K rather than with a bike that sits alot as I only have 1900 miles after a year.
I want to thank everyone here that contributes to all the threads that provide helpful knowledge, I wish I could put more miles on it but unfortunately pain wise that is not possible.
Enjoy everyday that you can on these classical machines and keep the shiney side up
Jay

If you are like me, even a short ride will put a smile on your face that is worth a little pain. WHen I retired 7 years ago my back was really bad but has gotten much better the last few years, so hang in there, and I hope you get to ride pain free for many more years.
