Now, I approached this a little differently. We've been looking at bikes for about 5 months, and finally laid the money on the counter last Saturday. In the end, I opted for a 100th anniversary Heritage Classic instead of a new bike because the previous owner hadspent his money on a host of goodies, saving me thousands.I'm sure more money will be spentmaking the bike my own. Oh well, that's half the fun. Too bad it's been too cold here toget the other half of the enjoyment.

I spent 3 years working two jobs to get into the game.
dropped loads of CASH 2yrs ago on the Phatail.
She's paid for, all her accessories are paid for,
I'm insuring it for $30k (see pics in profile)
AND I didn't need a co-signer. . . .
All the gear is just stuff ya grab along the way, See a new Orange and Black leather jacket on sale, grab it.
see a new pair of boots, grab; 'em. . .

Let me help you all feel a little better. Go to google, type in "Steve Sansweet". Realize what he's spent on his obsession. Realize your not even, or ever will be, remotely close to his level of insanity. You'll probably feel better.
Side note, I ain't bashing the guy. I've actually met him, he's hilarious and jokes about the whole thing being kinda ridiculous.
