All you Harley tech guys out there.......I am looking at doing some mods to my bars in which I need to work around the CLUTCH SAFETY SWITCH included in the left side switch housing. He mentioned he had a part with depressess the switch permanently. I asked if this would cause a problem with error codes, etc....here is his repsonse:
"I was finally able to speak with my tech guy this morning. He said the clutch safety switch can be depressed 100% of the time and work properly without any issues or dash lights coming on."
Is he correct? I thought by drepessing the switch all the time the ECM would consider the clutch in and you would get error codes, etc......
If you are a HD mechanic and know the answer to this, please let me know.....thanks.
