I burnt some material on my new 13 classic pipes. The size of a half dollar.
Whats the best way to remove it with out hurting the chrome exhaust cover?
Need help. Thanks
Topic covered many times. Easy off oven cleaner, protect all painted surfaces, motor, etc, then apply oven cleaner to chrome, let sit overnite, then sponge it off with H20
I use Comet scouring powder (the non-abrasive kind) and 3M scrubbing pad (the green ones). Wet the pad, put the Comet on the pad and rub on the nasty spot.
I also use this method to get the glue off the air cleaner cover after pealing off that ugly label that's on the top of it. There's always a glue residue that is really tough to get off. Comet, water and a scrubby pad work well and doesn't scratch.
Big Thanks for the replies!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am new to the Harley World and have learned two lessons.
1 Do Not wear shorts! Enought said
2 Do Not wear material that melts to the pipes! Daaaa
