Almost always ride 2 up with my wife. Very rarely with other bikes.

There's a very small circle of friends where we all have the same preferences, skills, and (apparently) bladder size. After all the years, they're the ones that are still around (for a reason). We know each other pretty well, and could ride within 6 inches of one another if we wanted to (but we don't, generally).

Mostly solo though.

Mostly by myself. Wife is a non rider...hates bikes, she an ER nurse. Been on a couple of charity runs and hated every one. Nephew an I ride together often on short trips. I don't like 2-up riding. Bikes set up for only me. So I'm a loner for sure.

If your riding w good people who are all on the same page-- it's great- and very hard to find. Takes time to establish (that's where I'm at) but I do love riding my own ride-- riding solo rides I have had the best time all by myself!

Never really liked riding with more than one other bike... In 40+ years of riding, have only had two friends I really felt comfortable riding with and one's gone, the other's now on a trike, which brings another whole dynamic into it... Do some short group rides with guys from the park I winter in, one of them (a friend) didn't see hand signals and turn signals and hit me on right side while I was making a right hand turn (rest of group all saw signals). ( 650 Yamaha 0, SG 1 - got out of it upright and with no damage to the SG, he kissed the blacktop, 3 grand worth of dental bills).

After all those years of riding, I'm now trying to get over that little bit of paranoia - rest of winter, I tried to ride alone as much as I could - as has been said - set your own pace, look at what ya want, pi$$ when ya want, go home when ya want to....

I'll ride with a group of friends a half dozen times a year, but do most of my riding solo or 2-up. Easier riding when you don't have to worry about what the rest of the group wants and only have yourself to answer to.

Yep, that's the key, can't stand riding with morons that either can't ride worth a ****, or are dangerous to ride with because they just enjoy taking every risk they can find. That being said, nothing like a nice long relaxing ride by myself to clear my head and melt the day's stress!

My wife says I'm a *****, and that's why I ride alone. Probably better that way...

I've never ridden in a large group and not sure I would like it. I ride with my neighbor or friend once in a while and occasionally with my gal on the back, but I like riding solo. It's very peaceful and quiet and gives me time to think.

I think that's why I like running so much. Can do it by myself and it's nice and quiet.

Like most have said here, I really enjoy my alone time on the road. Stop or go anytime. I f I see a group riding ahead and they are going the same direction at the same speed, I will tag along in the back. Safety in numbers. I may jump from from group to group. Yeah, I'm that guy
