Remaining Miles feature seems to be amiss. When first got the Heritage last Fall after fill up the gauge read 207 "MILES REMAINING" I have noticed the last couple fill ups the miles remaining dropped down to 187. Not really sure how accurate that feature was to begin with? Bike is still under warranty, just not sure if i should worry about it. I could just keep track the miles driven for the tank of gas and go from there. Anybody else in this same situation? Also the remaining miles after fill up can remain stuck for 15 miles or so before it begins to move.
it changed because you taught the computer how you ride and it is basing the miles remaining on your riding style....
the thing for you to do, is not hit the dealer up with a warranty claim on that, but to ride until your miles remaining says 'lo' then fill it up. check how much gas it took to fill your tank, then in the future you will know that when it the light comes on, app. how far you can go before you're walking.

Alright, sounds like

When my gas light comes on,i start looking for a gas station, found this to be the best way....still have 1.5 gallons left in the tank when the light comes on.
Your Heritage read 207 when full? Dang, mine reads 157. Of course I know the computer is still learning, but this very issue has been perplexing me since I bought it too. Gas guage shows empty, trip meter shows 10 or 15 left, go to fill up and it takes 3.5 gallons. 1.5 left! Hell, I could have gone another 50 or 60 miles. I did run it to the warning light once and noticed the bike wanted to stall when I made sharp turns. Gas sloshing the bottom I guess. Went to fill up and still had .9 gallons left. I kind of miss the reserve toggle to be honest where I knew I had 1 gallon left. Chalking it up to the learning curve w/ a new bike.

My 12 deluxe reads a max of 196 but sometimes it tops at 177-180. Same station and gas. I try to fill it to the brim every time. One time the damn got stuck at 150. I rode about 55 miles and it still showed 155. I think it also depends on when you click on the button to check. I f i wait until i drive away from the gas station, it marks a high milage number. If i check before moving , it reads low. warning light came on and i fill up--only squeeze about 4 gallons when the light comes on so i know i have about 40 ish miles left.
