Changed up a few things on my 2011 Heritage this week. I was running a K&N air filter only and installed an Arlen Ness Big Sucker, I have run Mobile 1 V twin in all 3 holes on 3 different TC's since 2005, I changed over to Syn gear lube in the tranny, 15W40 Rotella in the primary and 20W50 Dino Valvoline Racing oil in the crankcase. I did a complete service on it this morning to incl tire pressure's etc. Cleaned her up, checked for leaks and took off with my best friend (wife of 40+ yrs) and it was a blue sky and 77 degrees and little wind. Pointed the Heritage into the Smokey Mountains and West NC and road. The A/F setup made the tuner come alive, the motor was less noisey with the dino, and the clutch had a better feel and the Syn gear lube in the trans eliminated the clunk and it drops into the gear smoother and easier. Some time a plan comes together, today was one of those days.

Sounds like a great ride! I really liked the "best friend" comment. I usually ride with mine too...10 yrs. It seems like an empty ride without her.
My wife rode her own bike for many years, she felt her skills were going south on her several years back. She's been a "Road Warrior" on her own and with me for many years.
We snuck away from E. Tenn. Thursday. My mother-in-law fell and is in rehab now. doing well. Visited her this morning, then jumped on the bike and went south till we hit the Ohio River. All two lane roads. Not quite Tennessee, however the leaves are changing and the temp was in the low 70's. A gorgeous day in Ohio. This week also looks good weather wise. Checkers, glad to hear you had a good one as well.
