Default S2 v. Techno

The fit is the most important thing IMO so I can't tell you if it's going to be a good helmet for you. I don't notice too much buffeting, and it is designed for an upright, touring posture so that makes sense. And that's with a fatboy, no screen. Haven't yet tried my new Memphis shades fairing so can't tell you how that works with it.
Thanks. I did find one to try on. I am apparently between sizes the large was too loose but I just don't think I could wear the medium long enough for it to "break-in". The helmet seemed well made but the Techno fit better and has bluetooth already in the helmet for 1/4 the cost.

My SO & I never had a helmet stolen, but I did have some bags stolen. It was a moderately priced Willie & Max throw-over set. But like Jimmers said:

Around here, if you nap in public, they will steal the fillings outta your &^%$ teeth.

I'd never let it outta my sight unless it were locked up.

After reading the posts here I'm getting paranoid about my helmut. Unfortunately, it is not smelly, it is not cheap, we do have a helmut law here, it won't fit in my bags and the strap can be easily cut. However, I do NOT want to look foolish bringing my helmut into a store, bar or restaurant. A cloth "helmut bag" cam with one of my helmets. I'm thinking about carrying my helmut around in the bag and if anyone asked me about it, I'll just tell them it's my bowling ball!

Then you would have to wear bowling shoes to make the story plausible, and that would look ridiculous. It's a very slippery slope;-)

Didn't I post wrapping around the chin guard?

I bring a 6' cable & lock and wrap it around the chin guard and mounted component like the highway bar or locked passenger backrest, etc.

Why would that make you look foolish?
