I have a Harley's fxrg leather jacket and it works really well in hotter temps. I purchased the armor separately for the shoulders and elbows. You could also check out revzilla.com for other brands and types of light weight armored riding jackets. Hope this help and good luck with your search
I just picked this one up for Spring and Summer riding.
Has pockets for armor, is vented , and wind blows through pretty easily.
I just swap armor around from different jackets, so I don't have to buy for all of them.
I use a leather jacket from FoxRidge for cooler weather and a mesh one with armor for the mild to hot weather. I think I picked up the mesh one on Leatherup. Lots of choices out there. I do like some of Harley's choices and as Bestrafen said, buy one set of armor and you can use them in other jackets too.
One thing to keep in mind -- none of the lightweight Harley jackets offer back armour options. I had to have my GF's mother sew a pocket into mine for the back piece out of my joe rocket. Why in the hell Harley discontinued the back pocket is beyond me.
While my Harley jacket is great with the back mod and the shoulder/elbow pads, I also like the Joe Rocket jackets.
I am an all-the-gear-all-the-time guy and simply would not consider a jacket without the back option.
