Default Skydiving - NOT O.T.

I have alot of trouble with my eyes since I wear contacts.
I got to thinking that those goggle type things that skydivers use would probably have to be the ultimate in wind protection.
Any reasons they wouldn't work for riding? Where might I find them?

Go to Lens Crafters (for example) and ask to see sport glasses.I know Lens Craftershave them as I've looked at them myself. Same type that you will see pro basketball players using now and then. You can also get prescription if you need.

I wear contacts to and the wind bothers me a lot so I got a pair of the Harley Profile Goggle - Black with Day/Night lens They work great and I don’t have a windshield to block the wind

Try these they are cheap so not alot would be lost. I would not suggest them. They are awesome at wind deflection and for not fogging. They are only comfortable to me for about 10minutes at a time. Usually can't wait to get on the ground and get them and my helmet off.

good question, i thought of getting a pair of them myself. you should be able to find them at any military type store. Thats if your near one, they tend to only be around bases. or try uscavalry, or general jacksons, I think both have web sites. And maybe even your local sky diving club. I used to wear them when I was doing HALO when I was still a soldier. If you get them to fit right, they're not to uncomfortable.

I am supposed to get my eyes done this summer. I can't wait. I am almost legally blind and have worn glasses since I was 6.

I had LASIK done several years ago, love it but have dry eye since then... PANOPTX are the best for me to keep the air from drying out my eyes when riding... I have a pair of day/night lenses so only need 1 pair when on the bike. downside is they look too goofy to wear as sunglasses when walking around so carry a plain pair for when I get off the bike.

I have a pair of the PanOptx and I wear contacts and I must say they are awesome I have no issues what-so-ever. My eyes are really sensitive too that if I get air on them with the contacts my eyes water up so bad I can't see. The PanOptx did the trick though.

I had lasik done 8 years ago and I've never had a problem with dry-eye or haloing at night. One of the best things that I have ever done plus my benefit package covered it.
The procedure only cost me $100 out of pocket. I wear panoptix Sciroccos day night lenses.
My wife wears contacts and has no problems with her panoptix. Its all about the fit of the glasses.
