Anybody wearing a Bell Star or Bell RS-1 Full Face?
Considering a full face helmet for the cooler weather. After looking at several different makes and models I'm very interested in a Bell Star or RS-1. I've been looking but haven't found any locally yet, looking for some feedback, good, bad or indifferent.
TIA, Erich

I've been using an HD modular full-face helmet for the last 5 months, and I have no complaints. I think I paid $250 for it. It's pretty well ventilated and hasn't been uncomfortable in *hot* weather. How bad could it be when it's cold out? You can use a drop-down smoke-tinted sunscreen to protect your eyes from bugs and grit without closing the visor.
Dude love my bell star. Saved my life on the dragon. Comfortable and amazing customer service. Especially for vets. I'd say best full face from what I have heard is the arai and shoi (depending on head shape). But in the price range of a star I don't think it can be beat
I have had the rs-1 for almost 3 years now. I love it. Also if you do go with a bell, spend the extra $75 and get the transition lens. Very much worth it.
Thanks gents! I just purchased a Bell Star Carbon Race Day on sale for almost half price ($339) and a Bell RS-1 for my brother, the Roland Sands limited edition at half price, ($224) free shipping and no tax! Both have arrived, great looking and fit great! Thanks for the feedback. I also purchased the transition shield as well!
If anyone is considering a nice full face helmet now is the time with all the sales going on.

I have the Bell Star with the same shield as you and love it! Never have to worry about glasses or sun glasses, plenty of vents, and wont move your head around at any speed. Enjoy!
