Stubborn fork dust covers

I have an 05 sporty that started leaking oil from the left fork. I'm trying to clean out the seal but I can't get the damn dust cover off. I've tried WD to try can and lube it. Putty knife, chisel, screw driver.....doesn't even budge. Any advice?

Give it a pop with a soft faced hammer. However just cleaning out the seal most likely wont fix your leak. Probably time to get the forks serviced.

Soak joint with WD40,look for a small notch at that joint.Use a hardwood dowel ,tap gently,once it starts go around evenly a little at a time,no need for berserking here....
