Hello all, new to the forums, but figure this would be the place to ask.
I'm working on a small customization project for someone and I need to get my hands on a schematic for a part (Turn signal bar, upright, part # 69278-06). I've taken my own set of measurements and all, but I really want to find a schematic to double check everything before I waste material. Now I found a microfiche on Ronnie's, but unfortunately, it doesn't have any measurements attached, and that's what I need for this project. Been google searching for a while, but no luck. So, last resort, thought I'd ask here if anyone knew where this kind of information could be found.
A schematic is usually a wiring or plumbing diagram.
Dimensions of the part would be on a blueprint...good luck finding a B/P online...
Yeah, that's sort of what I was afraid of, but I had my fingers crossed someone might know something I didn't, haha. Oh well, time for the tried and true trial and error method I suppose! Thank you both.
I don't think you will find any genuine dimensions, if you have measured one that is as good as it is going to get IMHO. There's not a manufacturer on the planet who readily releases production drawings. If you're making something for a custom bike you have the opportunity to make it unique!
Sounds like you are looking for mechanical drawings not schematics.. Your best bet is to take measurements and make the part fit to what you got.. If your worried about messing, up try and find a damaged / scratched one on Fleabay.. Practice on it.. Drawing of anything from HD will be hard to get. HD don't give it out.. Remember there is no reason for them to give out engineering information.. No need to help the competition..
