replaced the IAC valve, throttle body temperature sensor, crank sensor, crank case is vented away from throttle body, battery has been load checked. power commander is new with PC approved dyno, retarded timing 2 degrees, subtracted 2 percent of fuel below 500 rpms, I’ve tried waiting and not waiting for check engine light and fuel pump. PCIII died so the old map was transferred to PCV.
None of these changes effects the warm start.
Its an 06 bored to 95 , SE 203 cams, stock compression.

I’m thinking next hot start I’ll roll the bike backwards in gear clutch out, relieve compression, see what that does for the situation.

One other thing I'd do is go to heavier battery / starter cables.. You can measure the voltage drop across them during cranking. Should be less than 0.15 volts for either power or ground.

Thousand miles into the trip, -4 on ignition timing below 750. Starting problems seem to have gone away. Happy camper.

1600 mile ride through Colorado, not one issue starting.
Retarted timing 4 degrees under 750 rpms.
Thanks all.
