Parts changing is getting expensive isn’t it. Cycling the ignition switch is the procedure to reset the bank angle sensor. To my knowledge, it doesn’t reset anything else. Don’t just change it—troubleshoot the SYSTEM. For troubleshooting, try unplugging the sensor and see if issues go away. (You will have a code thrown if you do this but engine should run).
The factory service manual is your friend!
Check your coil packs for going open when warn. Also if there is a relay in the system get it checked out. Places like O'riellys have a relay tester kit for tool to rent.
I just wanted to update you guys I figured out the issue.. the heat from my exhaust was causing a fault in my bank angle sensor. Swapped it out and all good. Ride safe!
How did you manage to find a discontinued part in one day?
That brings up a good point.
With cars like very old cars, I understand there is a big THICK manual and it has THOUSANDS of old discontinued parts. Very good source of info in finding stuff. I saw that book once on tv and it looked so "old fashion" cool if u know what I mean.
Is there book for old discontinued bike parts? I know there is at least a few biker websites but is there a book for old bike parts??

What I do is get the Harley part number from Ronnies or whatever website you use that has the Fiche on it, then call a local dealership and specifically give them that part number. Then after they say it's obsolete have them do a national search across ALL Harley dealerships. They'll tell you where the closest one is. I've done this many times before.

Old car and truck mechanic here who wishes that were so!
There is no Hollander interchange book for motorcycles but for Harleys I find Google + online microfiche works pretty well. For keepers like my FXRs I just buy multiple parts catalogs throughout the production range via Ebay since the book scanner folks who I would never use because I worship the copyright laws enacted by proxy by Disney and Hollywood don't copy many of those to .pdf.
BTW it's not possible to copy protect anything posted on the internet any more than one can stop someone taking photos of a roadside billboard so if some BS "this file cannot be copied" dialog pops up either Ctrl-C, screenshotting or similar methods save the data without having to take notes by manual typing. I wouldn't run a web scraper because that's rude and eats their bandwidth. Netiquette matters.
