Is there anyone thats familiar with the Khrome Werks 4 hp plus 202700 slip one? And maybe know a good base map with the FP3? Any suggestions would be great!
Haven't seen Bryan from V7H for awhile , but maybe he'll chime in and give you a recommendation . Using the program send them an email , telling them what you have for a set up , they'll give you the best options to try out , that's what I did . Also , if you know the style of baffle that is used for the pipe , you can also cross reference similar baffles on the V&H web site and go from there , wouldn't be my first choice though .
I tried calling V&H Friday but they said their offices were closed. But normal hours are 8-5. Could be due to this virus. I sent them an email today so we will see. Ive also been trying to reference them to other slip-ons but no luck there either. The map Im on now is ok but still has issues. Ill run a tank of fuel through it and maybe try auto tune if I dont hear back from them. I appreciate the response.
what issues are you having , if I may ask ? Only thing I would do , is pull the baffle and see what others have that look similar , then go from there . I have the SE Street Cannons that I modified with different baffles , tried a couple of maps that worked well until I got a hold of V&H and they did me right , never had to do an auto tune .
I bought it with a after market air cleaner and no other mods to it and it had a pretty strong urge to stall while letting out first, ran pretty warm, could smell fuel and low fair fuel economy. I put the Khrome Werks 4 hp plus slip-ons on it and it helped a lot but still gets that urge to stall once in a while letting out first. Not nearly as bad. And the fuel economy still isnt the best. With the map I flashed it with now The urge to stall is only starting on a incline unless you rev it high to get through it and the fuel economy could still use some help. It is a used FLHTK with 64000mi on it so Im hoping its a simple AFR problem.
What year is your bike ? Sound like it may have had a previous issue before the tune . Try running the diagnostic's and see if any codes come up , would certainly narrow down what would be causing the issue . Depending on what year the bike is , could be the IAC ( Idle Air Control ) clean it up with some throttle body cleaner , lots of videos on how to do it . Newer models won't have this . I would have a look at the butterfly any way and see how carboned up it is , use some cleaner to make it nice shiny clean again .
I didnt think about the IAC. Or intake parts at all. I will do so. For some reason my mind bypassed the basic troubleshooting and straight to programming. Its a 2011. It runs great. Just some smaller issues. The fiancι and I went out for a ride the other day after I flashed it and did a lot better with the both of us on than it use to. Only felt the stutter once or twice but very minute. Total weight between the both of us is 330ish.
The 2011 doesn't have the IAC , too new . My guess , since it had an aftermarket air cleaner , I'm guessing it had a flash done from the dealer , can't imagine anyone would put one on without doing a flash , it would run to lean . I would still do a system check and see if any errors come up , and check the butterfly , dirty and it will reduce rpm's and cause stalling like you described .
I would also spend some time cleaning up all your connections , battery cables ( both ends ) check connectors etc . You can use electrical contact cleaner and hit them with it to get rid of corrosion . Check your fuses too , doesn't hurt to clean them up or replace them as well .
Run some Sea Foam through your tank ( about 1oz per gal ) to clean up any debri in the system and the injectors as well . Run a couple tanks .
The stealership first told the that that was a stock air cleaner until I went back and asked if there were any after market parts installed (the air cleaner didnt look stock. Found out its most likely the twin ventilator) and described the issues. Then proceeded to tell me that they were unsure if there was any programming done to it. It was at that moment I gave up talking to them and started researching. I thought about the sea foam. I have the fuel additive and the top engine cleaner and lube. I will check for codes when I leave work here in a few and do another once over all connections and examine the throttle body tomorrow after some shut eye. This social distancing order has me on 2nd shift.
Yah , find another dealer ... Saw the pic of your bike , and that is an aftermarket air cleaner , maybe that's why the issue , who knows , but you'll get it to where it needs to be .
Have a great night , and stay safe , keep posting updates .
