I'll tell you how stupid I am! I"m 77 years old still ride every day and I am frugal to no end. And it pisses me off. Anyway to save a dime! And you know the old saying, You can't teach an old dog new tricks! As hard as I try! Anyway, I bought a set of pads on ebay for $15 and went to install them. What should have taken 20 minutes took 2 hours due to all the grinding I had to do on the little tabs on the front pads to make them slide into place. So I finally get done and back it out of the garage and it feels like it isn't rolling like it should. So I take it for a ride and everything works OK, but the front rotor jis pretty hot. So I jack it up and spin the front wheel and there is a lot of drag. More than normal. So I get on forum and get all kinds of suggestions which is great. But the bottom line is the only parts that are going to fit perfect are OEM parts. So I went to the dealership and boughtthe pads for $145 front and rear. I reinstalled the front in 20 minutes and no more drag on the wheel. Perfect!!! My wife and I have over two hundred thousand dollars in the bank, and I'm too cheap to buy the right pads. Just for kicks my mechanic son said to mic the thickness of the two pads and the cheap ones were seventy five thousands thicker than the OEM. So there was no room in the caliper for the extra thickness. Like I've heard before, live and learn; except by now I should have learned.
