Anyone know the year it and the netural switch started?
When it's right, does the stand stitch kill motor if not in neutral?
Not on the US bikes yet. The give away is the OPs location - Spain.

Now the bike works if I fold in the jiffy stand. still dying when i drop out the jiffy which seems a bit wonky with the N gear in but at least now i have something to go on.
And if I can't find the fault, I can at least take it to a workshop

Thanks again!
@Francke You bike has 3 neutral safety switches, Jiffy Stand, Clutch Lever, and Transmission.

The jiffy stand switch is working as intended if it shuts the bike off when it is dropped, the transmission neutral switch is working if the bike will start in neutral with the kickstand up.

The next place to look is the switch in the clutch lever switch pack housing.

Try having the clutch pulled in and dropping the kickstand while in neutral gear, that may isolate the issue.

If it does not, I don't have anything further to provide as I am not that familiar with how the jiffy stand neutral system works on non-US motorcycles.

Check the pins on the jiffy stand connector if you disconnected it changing the battery. Also any work done on the handlebars?
