I own a 2017 FXDL Lowrider, the original headlight was attached to the OEM handlebar assembly so when I got T Bars installed the headlight bucket & mount now has to be mounted at the bottom part of the triple trees just like any other street bob or wide glide, when my local Harley Dealer did the install they used a headlight bucket from a breakout because its was what they had readily available and 68595-06 Bullet mounting bracket, now I understand that some vibration is obviously expected hence the rubber mounts that Harley uses but its crazy when I go over bumps ect. Now I have found SKU : 67700455 Headlight Bucket Assembly - 5.75 Inch Kit which specifically says fits a Daymaker which I have and it says it fits a 2017 FXDLS and looks like a far more sturdy and thought out kit that just may get rid of most of this vibration Im dealing with, what do use reckon would it work ?
IF I took my bike to Harley and PAID for work done on it, I would take it back and have the problem corrected. But then that would never happen because I do ALL of my own work and do it right the 1st time.
If your going to reply to the thread I wanna know will 67700455 Headlight Bucket Assembly fit my 17 FXDL ? Thats all I want to know or what I else I would need to install it correctly thats it, the problem is the way that Harley designed the headlight itself, its installed correctly but it vibrates anyway, you do all your work yourself and you do it correctly everytime, good for you, I DONT CARE.
MDunne95 NICE ATTITUDE. Look at the chrome domed nuts on the outside of the shell. Inside the shell is the insulators that cause the shaky light. I solved that issue on my 07 FXDB when I went to a chrome shell.
I cant tell but your headlight assembly looks similar to my vrod. Theres rivets on the bottom that hold the mounts inside the bucket. They eventually become loose. I fixed this by drilling them out and replacing with screws and locknuts.
I did eventually replace the whole thing with a custom mount for a different front cowl. But when I had the 5-3/4 bucket I did the above.

Finally figured out what was happening. The wind coming off the top of the fairing was hitting my head causing buffeting. Not vibrations coming from my bike. Dumb. I was having the same issue with a different wind shield and found that if I move it down on the forks it lessens.
