Default Is this something that's available?

Had to pull the fuel tank off of my M8 heritage classic, so I used a siphon hose to drain it.

I noticed that unlike the fuel line quick connect on the bottom of my previous 07 ElectraGlide, this one has a large schrader valve on the side for connecting a fuel pressure gauge.

I wonder if there's some type of drain hose that you can attach to it, so you can drain the fuel tank with no fuss, no muss. But if there was, I'm guessing it probably would be very slow to drain because of the valve stem in the Schrader valve.

Or does someone sell a drain hose you could attach to the quick connect? I realize I could just buy a new hose from Harley and remove one end, but it's pretty pricey and short.

Jump the fuel pump relay with the quick connect off. Pump pushes the gas out fast and clean. Schrader drain is too slow.

When you disconnect the hose, fuel doesn't run out of the tank.

So running the fuel pump with the hose disconnected wouldn't do anything.

Don`t listen to a thing that is posted by Bass-M.

It is either a bot, or some fool using AI to give out stupid answers.

You need to have a spare male end of the QD, then the described method works. I happen to have one and have used it.

Did you buy it from the dealer? I know the hose is a one piece crimped assembly.

No, it came with the fuel parts I bought as a kit. Fuel filter, pump, lines, reg ect... I cannot remember the name of the parts company right now. But they have a good reputation for their parts, but they are not HD direct parts. Quantum - that is who all the parts came from.
Another way to get tapped into the line is if you have a fuel pressure test kit. That works too. Or the good old fashion way that I use most often on all my equipment is an inline hand squeeze bulb for outboard motors with two lengths fuel hose. It's really the fastest and easiest way to drain tank of whatever you want. Tons of places have them including Walmart.

He's a bot, and they just love his posts in the admin of this place, for some reason.
