about hand grips. If you have problems with grips stayin' in place, pull 'em off. Take a file and file several sharp but shallow grooves across the grip area of the bar. Mix up some epoxy glue, put it on the bar, and slide the grip back on. Clean the excess, and let it cure. They won't come off!

I find that HD grip glue works okay, and they are still removable should you want to. I would think with your method they would be pretty premanent.

I slipped a screwdriver underneath them and worked it around. I run basically stock grips. Right now I have a NOS grips, left from the '70s, and throttle from the '50s. The throttle grip will rot out from UV by end of summer and I'll replace it with an early '70s grip for an internal throttle. They'll probably last as long as I have the bike.

Never seen any aftermarket grips that struck my fancy. Most of 'em now are chrome-crap, and not worth having if you ride frequently, especially in good ol' hot Texas weather. The sweat from your hands eats the chrome, and when it's 115 in the shade the last thing you wanna grab is a metal grip! [sm=icon_flaming.gif]

I've run some old style Anderson grips, but they weren't that comfortable. Also had some of those cushioned grips, but they didn't last long before starting to flake apart. Stock grips last, and are comfortable enough. I s'pose if I was wanting heated grips I'd change.
