Default Throttle cable adjuster seized

I attempted to adjust the slack on my throttle today, only to find that the throttle adjuster does not turn clockwise or counter clockwise.
Here is what I did
1)pulled back the rubber guard
2)unscrewed the jam nut away from the adjuster
3)attempted to turn the adjuster with no avail.
The idle cable also has the same problem.
Anyone know how to fix this?

You could try a penetrant like PB Blaster or just replace the cable.

problem fixed. I turned the jam nut as far away from the adjuster as possible then turned the adjuster counter-clockwise. Then you the good ole twist the adjuster clockwise then clockwise trick until it loosened up. Once the throttle and the idle cables were adjusted I applied a little antiseize.
