starting and ignition

After having my battery disconnected for a month while doing some minor repairs i hooked it up and the bike igniton, starter and signal lites don't work. this is a 2001 with a factory alarm. Does this system have a memory that requires battery power? Sad because bike won't start. Seems like the alarm is keeping it deactivated.</P>
