starter problem
I have a 1990 elsctra glide classic, when i go to start i get a clicking noise and no start even with a new fully charged battery, and it won't take a jump.Please help is it just my relay, is it a solenoid, if so can i just replace the solenoid. or is it the starter?

First you need to make sure all the electrical connections are good.
The click you are hearing is probably the starter solenoid.
Put your hand on the starter and push the start button, you should feel it.
If the click is the solenoid, you can get a rebuild kit from the dealer, or one of the aftermarket outfits online.
Don`t go out and buy a starter...

If you want to fix this problem yourself, this is what you do.First, remove your ground cable on the battery, you don't want the motor turning over when you do this, it'll make you hurt yourself getting your hand out of there. Remove the three screws on the solenoid cover and the cover itself. Pull the plunger out. Take a file and clean the corrosion from the brass end of the plunger and reinstall.
