Default 2013 Switchback

My 2013 Switchback seems to rev power or surge up and down on it's own when started, any idea's why? I shut it off and restart and it seems to work, but it's kind of scary when it does this.

I don't know how much "rev" you are getting, but some is normal. It may help if when you turn on ignition, wait a few seconds before cranking engine. This allows the ECM to monitor sensors before engine is started. It is a habit you can get in to. Also when it revs after a start, let idle settle before engaging into gear.

Also, when you shut-down the bike...let it idle @ normal RPM a bit before hitting the stop switch. The ECM is sensitive and can fluctuate your idle settings a bit if you're not starting & stopping the bike properly.
