My Road Glide customizing has begun!!
Well, it has started, no turning back now. Colors are picked, graphics picked, parts are away for ceramic/powder coating, brakes/shocks/lights/accessories ordered, Dakota Digital gauge package customized to my specs. Soon it will have the base paint on it this weekend by Schawn and next week the graphics will go down and we will be piecing it back together if all goes as planned. I love this part 8)
This is the shop that is helping my Glide be a hit;
I guess I can't tell anyone what shop is doing the work because they didn't PAY to be on the this EXCLUSIVE club

Thursday they had the front fender rivets gone and the fender welded to the struts, smoothed and fine. The rear fender Bar&Shield emblem removed and the fender bolt welded to the inside of the fender and smoothed. Was going to primer this afternoon and final paint prep tomorrow for base paint on Saturday.
Parts off to the powder coater for blacking out;
handle bars
brake lever
saddlebag and tour pack supports
headers, heat shields and V&H Ovals for ceramic coat
Chrome parts to be painted same base color;
tank console,CB console,fuel door and pushbutton release
horn will be mock carbon fiber paint to match airbox cover
rear turn signal and taillight bases
ignition switch
front turn signals will be the secondary color
I've already had the floorboards, passenger pegs, highway pegs and clamps coated black. Along with the shifter arms and pegs;

If you are looking for a great shop and 2 great guys to work with, you can't beat Mike and Schawn. I have known Mike(Owner ) for over 5 years, traveled across the country with him. He is a stand up guy, loves his bikes and wants your bike to be just as pretty as his bikes. His shop also runs a load dyno and is a certified Dynojet/PowerCommander tuning center

Well, as of 3/24 all the body is off and scuffed waiting for paint. Got a few other things to do like turn signals and ash consoles to take apart for paint. Exhaust is off to the ceramic coaters too. Got a look at the black with the flake on it today too, wow what a color combo!! Got it outside just in time for the clouds to roll in so no outside shots yet.

There's a couple of guys from St Charles that I ride with.Maybe we can see your bike some time this summer.Mine's a Black Pearl RoadGlide so we'd get "before and after views"

Interesting choice in color, looks like mini rainbow flakes. I thought I've heard about every shop around. Looks like they do nice work.I have two Baggers on the build table now, one similar and the other one that was just completed is a cobalt blue with matching spokes. There are probably going to be a lot of hot Baggers out this summer.
