A forum for the discussion of your sidecar, Conversion Trike or Pull Behind Motorcycle Trailer.
Just got back from Thunder Beach. Great time with wonderful weather. Never have seen so many trikes. All makes and models. I was surprised to see so many kits like mine. Never saw so many broke bones and bad knees out riding again.
Had several folks trying to figure out what mine was. I had pretty much the same answer to most of them. I told them this was the only way I could ride for the next few months without spending $10,000 to $15,000.
I enjoy riding with the voyager kit now that I have 3500 miles on it.
Had lots of oysters and drank 1 or 2. Can't wait until next spring.
Hey bad, We went down Thursday morning. 135 miles to the condo. One of the radio stations estimated about 65,000. Not quite as many as Daytona.
We took short rides up and down the strip and went to the vendors. Saturday, we had a good group ride south to Mexico Beach and to Cape San Blas. We only went 165 miles that day. We needed to get back in time for the big football game. Bama/Georgia. Greatest game of the year so far?
The average temps were in the low 80's. We hated to come home Sunday.
Didn't see any HD Forum members. Ate lots of oysters and had a brew or 2. Talk to you later.
65,000! Thats a shiet load of 2 wheeled folks. When you say condo is it one of those timeshare deals or you rented it for the time. I see you have a photo of your no longer triked Eglide. Does that mean you're all healed up and good to go? Good for you for getting out there and mixing it up. I'm heading to Outter Banks NC this December for a couple weeks. Its off season so it shouldn't be crowded and the prices were right. Hope that ferry ride ain't to raucus.
We rent a condo at the Summerhouse. They offer good rates.
I still have the training wheels on my bike. The picture was taken prior to installing the kit.
I have about 4 more months before I can take the kit off. I can't wait.
Thunder Beach is a fun rally. Beautiful riding weather. The police don't mess with you unless you are doing burn outs or making excessive noise.
Have fun on your trip. Be careful.
Been looking at the web site for Thunder BEach Rally and it looks like a good time but not over wheling like Laconia, Daytona sand the other well participated events.
So, wheres your pictures? Did you attend the 2008 Miss Thunder Beach pagent? Did you check out the Roller Derby girls (remember when that was a popular and regular TV show back in the day)?
I wish I could have gone to some more events. I have to park close to the activities. Can't walk too far yet. My bride of 25 years won't let me go to the good events. I did get my bike washed by a pretty thing.
We never think to get pictures unless the kids all go.
I think the total of bikes was closer to 30,000.
Believe me I know what you mean. I tried attending on of those "special events" once with my wife and she started yelling at the girl that she should be ashamed of herself and just caused a scene in general.
