I just wanna say thank you guys for the great day! I really enjoyed it.....
Thanks to you also, I feel all 3 of us had a great time that day. It was a lot of fun when we finally got to create our European connection together. Thanks to Regine and Rene for making it all possible.
I'm screwed! It looks like my stator is bad. I called the local dealer and they don't have one and I checked the other two dealers in the area and they don't either. I ordered one but it won't be here in time for me to get my bike fixed and make the ride. I am still going to Seattle I just have to take my truck instead Not what I wanted as that is going to cost me more money than I want.
If there is anyone else that can pick up lets do that other wise it is going to be later this month or May for me. May is my next scheduled run to Tacoma.
Sorry to hear about your problems with your starter. I finally got my bike out of the shop but now I have the crazy weather in my area to deal with. A few mornings it has been in the 20's and the foothills near me have had fresh snow on them. The weather hasn't been much better on the weekends either. I know that one of these days the weather will be nice enough for a longer ride but not sure when. I know that the natives are restless so as soon as possible the Mascot will start moving again.
I know I'm close but not 100% on this but I believe it is in Athena, OR. About half way between Walla Walla, WA and Pendleton, OR.
Yup, you are correct, it is with me here in Athena. Mother Nature still seems to be having fun with the weather here. The last few mornings it has been in the low 20's and really hasn't warmed up all that much during the day. If the cold wasn't enough, she keeps throwing in some rain just to make things more interesting. One of these days she will screw up and cooperate with us and maybe we can keep the natives happy and get the Mascot moving again.
Hey Gary! I didn't follow this story from the beginning but think it's a great tale. I was happy to carry the mascot from Pittsburgh to Effingham for the first ever HDF rally. But you know how to really take it to extremes
Sounds like a memorable trip!
