Too bad the mascot is stuck up in the snow and (too cold to ride in) cold weather because in some areas of the country they are riding already. Then there's our area here where we're caught in this 'rain everyday' weather system. The plants love it, but its not much for riding....
I'm back up and running again but yes the weather has been nothing but crap! It looks like this weekend might be ok in some areas but nothing but rain and snow so far.
Hey Gary! I didn't follow this story from the beginning but think it's a great tale. I was happy to carry the mascot from Pittsburgh to Effingham for the first ever HDF rally. But you know how to really take it to extremes
Sounds like a memorable trip!
Thanks, I had a great time over in Germany and The Netherlands meeting some of our European friends. I really liked the country, the food and the people that I met. I hope to be able to go over again sometime because I was made to feel very welcome there by everybody that I met. It definitely was a memorable trip.

The weather still is hard to predict here also. One day we have some warmer weather and the next we have rain. It also is hard to know what will happen on the weekend here, it seems Mother Nature doesn't want to cooperate much but hopefully we can get it moving before too long. Once the weather looks like it will work with us and we can plan ahead I am sure the Mascot will start moving again. I know that many others have expressed a desire to help move the Mascot and hopefully they will get their chance soon.
Ah...the Mascot! Mac first brought it from Yuma to Brenda, AZ and gave it to Lee. Lee carried on to "Preskitt" and handed it off to me. I took it to one of the Laughlin Rallys and gave to to Bill Norse. Would love to see it again!
Spoke too soon, the east side is looking more like the wet (west) side today!!!
I understand what you say. During the week we had a good day and I thought it was about time we could make some plans for getting the Mascot moving this weekend and now we are getting a lot of rain and flood warnings with a few thunderstorm warnings thrown in for good measure. One of these days we will be able to connect and get things going, hopefully.
The weather took a turn for the worse here with temps dropping into the mid 40's after days in the 80's....it just plain sucks.
We were planning on riding thru Beartooth Pass on 212 out of Red Lodge Montana in about 3 weeks but I viewed a video (about 2 or 3 days old) that the state was showing concerning road conditions up there and its still blocked by snow. Many feet of snow. So am contemplating coming out of Deadwood SD and cutting down through Wyoming and riding Flaming Gorge on our way to Salt Lake City. But 'm not so sure Wyoming on the east side is much better.
This unstable weather that has a grip on the nation makes for some real contemplation concerning any trips up yonder....
