drain the tank, replace fuel filter , I would change the oil and oil filter before starting too add some fresh gas with some sea foam, pull the plugs and spray in some lube is a good idea, just don't use too much . honestly would turn it over by rolling it or on a jack turning the wheel by hand for a few revolutions instead of using the starter first, if it spins freely that ay and you moved the pistons up and down the cylinder to distribute the lube, with the plugs still out spins it over with the starter till u get some oil pressure. Probably going to need a new battery , make sure all the connections are clean and tight no matter what. Reinstall plugs and try to start, let it idle and warm up and circulate the oil shut it down and while it cools look it over for any leaks. would use seafoam for the first few tanks after you get in running. also look for any signs of rodents chewing on wires or building nests. if it starts and runs ok would ride it for a bit and replace the filters and oil again and call it good.
I could not image letting anything of mine sit 5 years. I ride mine just about every day. Hope your injectors are not clogged up! I would not change oil till I ran it as if any oil drained into the bottom end and you changed it you will end up with too much oil providing it has enough oil in it to start. I would start it let it warm up some then change it.
Next to putting dirt or beads in the oil the worse thing you can do to any engine is let it sit. Bust of luck.
Normally I would agrree about warming it up a bit before the oil change , but sitting that long I would change the oil first before starting it you don't know how much or what kinds of things have got into the oil , water or gas dilution would worry me. And yes, I would change it again pretty quickly after the motor has run a bit .
