This might sound like a stupid question but I need to ask...
Step 7 "Initialize the new ThunderMax ECM" It say's to cycle the key switch on and off three times for 30 seconds each cycle. Does this mean on and off then wait 30 seconds and then on and off and so worth. Or does it mean, on, wait 30 seconds then off and then wait 30 seconds and then on and then wait another 30 seconds, so worth and so worth? I believe the first case hold's true but I'd like to ask anyway, thx in advance, Rich
Right on, thx guy's....Another thing, my unit came pre-programed from Zippers, it say's on my disc sleeve to skip step's 3-6, after I do step 7 (explained above) I do need to complete step's 8 thru 13 right? I can wrench with the best but my computer skill's lack and I hope I do this correctly. any other advice would be aprecaited, thx, Rich

I was told my T-Max was going to be shipped with a map that fit my bike's configuration, but it was not. When I called them to ask why, they said they were swamped with orders for the tuner, and were shipping them with just a test map. Update your software with the latest maps, and install it yourself. Take your time, and read the manual before you jump in. If you ever have to disconnect the battery for whatever reason, pull the fuse for the ECM (T-Max) before you do. Also, anytime you change or update maps, or disconnect the battery, you need to do the re-initialization process all over again. Good luck.
