Orange SERT not lighting
Been using a SERT for about a week, no problems.
Just tonight, as I was taking it out on a smart tune (new cams), it wouldn't light up.
The red light on the VCI only lights up for approx one second......pushing the record button on the vci does nothing.
I can move the connector around and it lights up again, 1 second, nothing else.
Same ol laptop & same cable.
Suggestions?

Is the VCI in "Data Gathering Mode"
To set up the VCI to record data, refer to the following procedure:
Turn the ignition "ON" and set the engine stop switch to the "RUN" position. Make sure the VCI is communicating with the computer and connected to the motorcycle.
Select the "VCI Data Record" button in the "Toolbox" section then select the "VCI Record Start" button. A warning screen is displayed.
Read the warnings carefully, then click "OK" to continue, or "Cancel" to abort the procedure.
When proper communication between the computer and VCI is verified, the system will prepare the VCI to start recording
and you will notice the icon in the lower left corner of the screen change.
When prompted, disconnect the VCI from the computer.
