07 SG. Power Vision install. Now throwing u1301 code
Hello everyone. 2007 SG. I’m having some problems after getting my power vision installed... Here’s the scoop. I went from a 96 to a 103. Cams rods lifters the whole nine yards. I went to pick it up two days ago, cruised around the block a few times, ran great, fast as hell. Awesome... I trailered it home. Yesterday morning at 11am, I started it up to listen and take a video for a buddy of mine. After the video I accidentally left the bike on, lights, accessories, amp, radio and everything else. Wife calls at 4pm saying the lights were on so I had her turn it off. I hooked up the trickle charger when I got home around 6. This morning around 9 I look and the charger is blinking red. Wonder why... realize my buddy forgot re attach the quick connect for the charger. All good. Disconnect the negative terminal and reconnect. Boom. Charging. It was still charging around 1 when I wanted to go ride so i said whatever, took it off and fired it up. Now here we go. Started up, bike ran fine for a little but then started sputtering and doing a bunch of other weird ****. Shut it down. Thought maybe the tune had to be reprogrammed into the ecu... I’m not a mechanic so idk... Shut the bike off, put the tune back in. Fired it up and its running terribly. I managed to get it home and was poking around. I realized I was getting this error code “bUS Er” when I turn the bike to the on position... strange. Checked connection for the power vision to the ecm. All good. I disconnect the powervision at the unit itself, turn the bike on.... no code... very odd and now I’m lost... just went out and bought a new battery (needed one anyways) any direction or advise would be great. Here is a list of everything electronically I have....
*power vision tuner
*aquatic av headunit
*arc moto 600.4
* fairing and lid speakers
* aftermarket underglow lights
* aftermarket honeycomb headlight with led passing light add ons
I’m not a mechanic nor a professional tuner but if I had some guidance maybe I can figure this out... my buddy is unable to help due to personal issues he’s dealing with so I’m turning to you guys. Any help would be great. Personal message, reply on here... whatever is easiest. Sorry for the novel i wanted to be specific... Thanks all. Be safe.
First just charge the battery up. Then check you 02 sensor connection under the sidecover near where you plugged the power vision in . Then clear the codes using your power vision and see if it comes back.

Thanks for the input. Checked both. My mechanic zip tied the O2 sensor harness together so its not that. O2 is tight and I bought a new battery...

Its your power vision. I had the same issue. Ton of codes. Bike would go into limp mode. Bus err on dash. The J18 throttle by wire bikes can be finicky. Fuel Moto told me its hit or miss on 07-09 bikes. Sometimes the PV works great, but other times it throws the u1301 codes. Theres an update for the PV specifically made for the issues on these bikes if your bike is one of the ones that throw the codes. Fuel Moto emailed me the firmware to update the PV with and I no longer have issues
Did you get the firmware update from Fuel Moto or from DynoJet? I just talked to a guy from fuel moto and he said he was not aware of such an update. He told me this is normal whenever the PV is connected to the bike for normal operation. Not sue I buy that but that's what he said. Guy's name was Bob.
Mine is a 2011 but it is doing exactly what is described by the OP although it does not seem to go into limp mode.
Update: Even though the Software and firmware were already up to date on the PV, I went ahead and updated it again and BOOM!, problem gone. Just have to see if it stays gone or if it returns
