2017 FLHR purchased used. 5k miles. Previous owner had stage 1 tune done by dealer with the TTs Mastertune program. I took the bike to my indy mech for replacement of leaking head gasket and had other work done since bike was apart. Woods cam, lifters, SS cam plate & SS oil pump. Put bike on dyno, found out that the ECM has the Mastertune program in there. Previous owner does not have the interface, dealer does not have interface. Am I screwed? ECM will not allow to overwrite or remove. Has anyone else had this problem?
Really. Not taking anything away from the TTS. A stand up product. But a lot of tuners use the technoresearch have for a long time.
Im well aware of that. And a lot of them can tune with the TTS or PV too. Or the SE Pro Super Tuner for that matter. Mine was tuned with the PV by a tuner here that despises it but neither of us had a choice. Couldn't buy a TTS at the time. He just uses it as a flash device anyway.
To make a customer buy another ECM AND tuner because of his lack of experience with anything else would make me question his ability.
Hell I can use 4 different tuners sufficiently and I'm not even a tuner.
