My first guess is; make sure that your ignition switch is on and the run stop switch is in the run position. If that's not it I'd pull the maxi fuse and unplug everything, plug it back in making sure that the everything is plugged in well and put the fuse back in and try again.
Good rule of thumb is if you can hear the fuel pump the ecm has power and should link. Some OSs like Vista need extra attention to serial bus-usb drivers before it will link. Who's link cable are you using as some are problematic. More info on the whole setup you have will help someone who's been there before supply the info you may need.

The pumps running. Im using the cable that came w/ the t-max and a usb adapter cable that I got from fuelmoto. The computer is using vista think that may have something to do with the problem. I did find some troubleshooting info for this problem on zippers site im gonna try that this morning then hopefullly take the bike out.
I've not had good luck using any USB to serial adapter on any Vista OS machine, period. I bit the bullet and bought an older Dell D610 just because it had the serial port. Good luck!
