To get any of this closed loop tuning stuff to work, you have to turn on closed loop and your AFR targets must be set to 14.6 AFR. You can set the gauges to digital and then set two of your gauges to AAF Front and Rear. They will change value whenever the bike is running closed loop.

For my tuning runs, I use .981 across the board, on the AFR table. You should get good results using those numbers.

Good idea to use the gauges to see the AAF ! So far I use the "magis" screen 319245 !

Thanks for confirming 0,981 is ok ! I'll expand the closed loop area after 2 more runs like this ( small rpm and cruising range ) to check the higher load and rpm !

Before you start, notice that the VE numbers drop off, outside of the closed-loop area (because your tuner hasn't been able to reach there yet). I recommend bumping up the VEs in these areas to match (or exceed) the highest numbers that you achieved in the previous closed-loop area. That will keep you out of danger of running WAY too lean on your tuning runs.

Hello

Actually I haven't noticed any VE drops outside of the closed loop area ?? My understanding is that the PV does not record any VE new values in cells below 0,977 in the AFR table .

Why would you see any VE changes ( and decrease then ) in those open loop areas?

Let me explain. In order to expand the closed-loop area, you need to open your map in WinPV. Open the AFR table, change all cells to .981.
Now open the VE tables. See how the numbers drop off outside the rows and columns that are outside your normal closed-loop range?
I will post a screen-shot later if it will help. I'm posting from my phone right now.

Will the closed loop function (adjust the VE tables) in the ECM if the AFR is set to .981 but the adaptive control is turned off?

What is the AAF?

Sorry AFF Front and Rear Adaptive Fuel Factor. It is the correction that the ECU is holding as the running correction for where you are in the map at the time. Sort of, what the ECU has learned so far about your setup.

If closed loop is turned off, none of this stuff happens. Long term or short term.

I leave the Adaptive Control turned On. But I've tried running logs with and without it, and it seems to work regardless.
But Jamie says leave it on, so... It's ON!
