Have you checked to ensure that your oil is staying where it is supposed to stay? (in the case),, do you have your head breathers plumbed into the intake manifold?

Yes sir. I have the HD heavy breather which does plumb back into the intake. Also I don't burn or lose oil anywhere.
I'm wondering if all the carbon is coming from my mixture being too rich. Is 13.8(0.940) at idle too rich? I noticed that even fuel moto's tune has idle in closed loop, but everything I know tells me that in the summer heat here I want a richer mixture when idling in traffic.
Posted my AFR table if anybody has any ideas. With this table I still get 45MPG highway riding 2-up.
I'm sure this has been covered somewhere in this thread or online but I can't seem to find anything. I purchased my power vision from fuel moto and everything is working great except and of the fuel gauges. They are all blank, such as the instant fuel economy, average econ, and anything fuel related. Also a few of the engine gauges show up blank as well like air/fuel. This is on a 2014 Street Glide. Not sure if I needed the autotune pro for some of the gauges. Not a big deal but I really want my fuel economy to work.
Also how do you go about extending the cable? I want to route it all through my fairing to my 12" yaffe monkey bars but it's a little to short. Can I just crack the line open and solder extensions on?

Guages should be working unless there's a software bug for the 2014's. I know new Sportster's have some issues. Autotune Pro has nothing to do with gauges.
I guess you could solder extensions....don't know how many leads there.
I had the same exact issues you do with carbon, I had tons of it. It is what caused me to get the PV in the first place. I knew it wasn't right. When I pulled the jugs this last winter I shopped the pistons around to 2 indies and 1 Dealer. I got answers like, "Yeah that happens it is a motor", to "yeah that looks pretty normal, nothing to worry about"... When I took it to Dan Baisley he said, you got problems... I couple of pages ago I posted about my issues, I had incorrect oil sweepers put in on a rebuild. After the bad rebuild I had carbon to the point I couldn't see any more aluminium on the piston tops at about 100 miles.
I have abt. 1k on the new Baisley rebuild and I can still silver and the pistons, edges are brown black more what I would expect.
I have a similar tune to yours however I am at 13.8 on the 50+KPA on the low end, and I think my sweetspot is richer than yours,,, and I am only getting 40mpg. I may richen it a bit more, I get hot in traffic but cool when I hit the open road. I am confident now that if I richen it more I will not get carbon problems.
Last year I took my bike to have it Dyno'ed during all the issues (I was trying to figure out what was wrong). The Dyno that I took it to, the operator stated he didn't even like to dyno bikes with the breathers into the intake because it can mess readings in higher end???? He wanted to reroute my breathers, however I did it before I took it to him. I don't know enough about it to comment on it, he may have been full of S#it..

The breather thing kinda sounds like BS to me. I mean, it can gunk up the throttle body after a while, but that's why you use TB cleaner every year or so. I can't imagine it ginking up the combustion chamber that much though. Where did you reroute your breathers to?
Well, I kinda doubted that I was running overly rich. The crazy part is that while the piston tops are black and covered with deposits, the plugs are dry and white, though with some deposits as well, from all the knocking.
Today I bought a spray can of Seafoam and I plan to fog the **** out of the engine until it cleans that **** out. I've also been adding Seafoam to the gas. Also, to deal with all the knocking, I retarded both cylinders by 2 degrees across the entire table. We'll see how that goes.
Update - (side note, my Average MPG doesn't work either - It's blank) So, I went and bought an analog oil temp gauge/stick today and took it for a 20 mile ride. According to the PV engine temp gauge, she got up to about 285 and according to the oil stick temp gauge, oil was at 250 when I got it to my garage. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's way too hot for the oil, isn't it? My understanding is that it should be down closer to 210 to 240 MAX range?
Could this be caused by an exhaust leak? I get it if it's an intake leak, but what about exhaust? Seriously considering NOT taking the bike on this road trip until I can get this temp under control.

Don't want to get to far off topic, you may have been burning more vented oil mist than you believe. Here is an interesting thread on it.See pics on page 4

Holy ****, the tops of my pistons look exactly like the ones in those pics. I'm gonna pull off my heavy breather and see what the throttle body looks like. Seems like this might be the key. Even if it's not the entire problem it's likely to be part of it. Crankcases should always be vented to atmosphere anyway. People who think that it significantly adds to air pollution can feel free to shampoo my crotch.
