Seemed to work, just a little more to go. I took another 5% out at the 1500-1750 range and left the rest alone. Is this the track you were thinking of me taking?
OddJack... It was a full MGS system, heads on back. I did do a double check on my o2 sensors and plugs too.
gonna leave that one for the more experienced guys to answer for you. I don't have enough experience with it or wideband tuning to be leading you down any path.
Done! the extra 5% off took care of it.
Any suggestions for the Pro tuning kit that gets here Tuesday? lol.
It's the almost the same as what you have already done. When prompted, select PRO instead of BASIC. You will notice that the cells populate more quickly. You will also have the ability to have the PV decrease your timing where needed. It will never increase it. To use that you go into the PV settings and set the VE to 0 and increase the Spark to 10 (This is from memory). Save the tune as before and send to your ECM. When done set it back to the defaults.
When in autotune mode, does the screen need to be on the log screen displaying all those numbers and points in order to autotune to work or can it be on another screen, such as showing rpm and temp ?

Has to be on the green logging screen unfortunately

As noted above: Yes.
This is one of the deficiencies, IMHO, with the PV; and it may well be there just is no way to enable the screen to display something other than what the unit is affecting or the signals it is tracking. Which is OK.
You can change the 'mode' screen--without leaving the monitoring function--to observe a different scale of what the unit is doing.
I picked up an auto tune unit for my 15 CVO Limited and have the VEs tuned in. I'm ready to start playing with timing. When I did this before without the AT, I increased timing until I got pinging and then retarded it a bit. This was lots of log analyzing and tuning runs.
What's the best way to adjust timing using the AT unit? I know that I need to set Max VE learn to 0 and Max Spark Learn to 10 but what from there. It is my understanding that the PV w/AT will not advance timing???
