So nothing like the last minute installs. Acquired a PC V about two days before leaving for sturgis. On the way out from vegas had a check engint light and pinging. very hot when we left. Stopped at first gas stop and took some timing out, problem seemed to be gone. Was fine the whole time in cooler weather. As we were on our way back and getting into hotter weather the check engine light would come on on even a slight grade and me twistin the throttle a little bit more to maintain speed. If I was in a hurry to get up to speed on the freeway it would come on the whole time I was accelerating and then about a minute after getting to a constant speed on flat ground it would turn off. Never noticed it running bad at all.
The codes I pulled, from what i can tell, are a code 24 and 25 which seems to be ignition coil codes. Wires are O.E. but I put copper plugs in when I got back from sturgis, had platinum's in it.
My problem is that I never had a c.e. light and got one right after PC V install. Bike is of course running better due to programmer but worried my next trip may have issues. Any suggestions?
Not on my sig yet. 02 RK with 88 motor. Andrews 26g cams with s&s gear drives. New lifters and adjustable push rods. V&H slip on turn downs and stage 1 air cleaner and cpu. PC V.
